CELL BLOCK TALK explores the human experience through the lens of unity. Created and hosted by longtime friends Christopher Blackwell, an incarcerated writer, and Katherin Hervey, a documentary filmmaker, Cell Block Talk explores ways to treat all our fellow human beings with respect and compassion while challenging harmful structures and experiences like mass incarceration, poverty, and trauma.

Each episode invites compelling and accomplished thought leaders from both sides of the prison wall, asking challenging questions that call for a more creative vision of our world and remind us we're more connected than we often believe.

Christopher Blackwell is an incarcerated journalist and activist who regularly contributes to some of the largest national publications (New York Times, Washington Post, Huffington Post). Katherin Hervey is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and thought leader in the field of criminal justice reform (Business Insider, The Guardian, Forbes, Black News Channel).
